Lake Immeln region — a design retreat
One room, one lake, no distractions. A 52 m² black steel shelter built for two, set among pine trees fifty metres from the water.
The shelter borrows its form from the surrounding pines — a long, dark silhouette that disappears into the treeline by dusk. Inside, every surface was chosen to hold your attention on what's outside the window rather than what's on a screen.
There's a wood-burning stove, a kitchen built to actually cook in, and a loft bed tucked under the roofline where the last thing you see at night is the sky.

No television, no gym, no front desk. Just a wide window onto the treeline and a fire that needs tending. Go for a run through the forest trails or swim in the lake at your doorstep — the closest thing to a schedule here is daylight.
Being far from town has its upside. The kitchen is fully equipped for a proper dinner, and there's an outdoor fire ring for anything better cooked over open flame. Eat by candlelight, with the lake for a view.
